Is It Okay To Get Another Dog When Your Dog Passes?

A Message From The Rainbow Bridge

I understand how many pet parents often feel a deep sense of guilt when considering bringing a new pet into their lives after the loss of their beloved fur baby. To offer some comfort and solace, I’ve crafted a heartfelt poem from the perspective of your dearly departed furry friend. I hope these words provide you with some peace and can be shared with anyone else who might be struggling with similar feelings. I know this is something many of us struggle with including me.
Under the Rainbow Bridge, so bright,
Where days are sunny, no more night,
I sit and watch with a happy heart,
Even though we're far apart.
Dear Mum, my love, my best friend,
Your care for me, it knew no end.
I felt your love in every hug,
In every walk, in every tug.
I know you miss me, and that's okay,
But I'm still near, in my own way.
Look for me in stars so bright,
In gentle breezes, in moonlight.
It's okay to love another fur baby,
To share your care, to lift them up.
It would be nice to have a sibling, too,
To watch over and look after you.
The Rainbow Bridge is a lovely place,
Full of joy, and full of grace.
I'm happy here, with friends to play,
But I think of you every day.
One day we'll meet, when time is right,
In a world so warm, and full of light.
Until then, be happy, and share your love,
I'll watch over you from above.
So, dear Mum, smile and be glad,
Remember the fun, not the sad.
We'll meet again, with hearts so free,
At the Rainbow Bridge, just you and me.
